VALORANT Developer: 2 New Maps Coming Soon!
As a multiplayer FPS game, you could say that Valorant doesn’t have many map options that players can play.
When it was first released last June, Valorant only had 4 maps; Haven, Bind, Split and Ascent. And only this October they added a new map, Icebox, in the Act 3 update.
Riot Games received a lot of harsh criticism from players for not making enough maps for Valorant.
Because of that, Riot has now decided to focus on developing the latest map instead of making other things such as new agents, weapon skins and other knick-knacks.

Currently, Valorant already has 5 maps, but Riot states that they are speeding up the process of creating 2 new maps so that players have more variety to choose from.

In an interview with Valorant’s pro player, G2 Mixwell and Valorant’s Game Director, Joe Ziegler, Joe admitted that Valorant must immediately increase their number of map pools.
“We don’t have enough maps right now, we will be the first to admit it. However, we will try to speed up the next few maps,” Ziegler said.
“We feel that the 7 maps are a good starting point. Reaching this figure will form a solid basis for later considering the pick / tire map system. “

Ziegler also stated that if Valorant already had a large selection of maps, they would consider leaving some maps from the competitive pool map.
Riot Games has not stated when the two maps will be released, but if the creation process is being accelerated, we will most likely see a new map released before Act 4 is released!
